We had your steaks last night and they were great. We will stop back by the next time coming through to pick up some more for the road. We appreciate your hospitality at your beautiful farm.

We go to Hayesville almost every year and look for good grass fed beef to bring home to Fla with us. For the last several years we've bought from Walnut Hollow and have never been disappointed. This year we ordered some over the phone and had some shipped to us. Although the delivery was delayed a day due to President Bush's memorial, the shipment came the next day and all was well. It was carefully packed by Charlie in a good Styrofoam container with dry ice. His place of business is meticulously clean and organized. Even his cows look happy!

Beautiful and peaceful area to visit. The Walnut Hollow Ranch is a great place to come and stay to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Charlie Kissling takes pride in his ranch. He is very accommodating to his guest. The store sell the best grass fed beef for your family. Come stay at the ranch and you will very happy you did.

If you're ever in this part of North Carolina, having a tour with Charlie Kissling had a profound effect on us and how we thought about the meat we eat.

We had a WONDERFUL restful weekend here at Walnut Hollow; plus had the best New York Strip steak we've ever had! Very peaceful, quiet area, and loved our morning walks enjoying nature. We fished, hung out in a hammock, enjoyed our firepit and just had a wonderful time walking around visiting all the animals. Definitely a great spot to recharge. Our full review with pics can be found @GoTravelLife

Walnut Hollow always has great grass fed beef. Also offers other types of meat. I always buy my steak here for guests and entertaining.

We had the pleasure of staying at Walnut Hollow Ranch in our camper! We were there ten days during which our friends joined us, too. It was the most enjoyable place to say! Charlie, the owner and rancher, greeted us and made sure we were comfortable. The Angus cattle greeted us with the sounds of mooing! In the mornings, the fog covered the beautiful peaks. We enjoyed seeing the yellow birds flying around all the wild flowers. When you stay there remember to grill some of the wonderful steaks! We will certainly go back and wished we would have discovered this special place sooner.

Charlie was very informative, friendly and funny. His advice was very helpful. We plan on coming back again. Thanks again Charlie.

As always Charlie, we enjoyed our stay there. You have a beautiful place and we will definitely be coming back.

This farm is nestled in a picturesque setting. The owner takes great pride in his business and it shows. From the fields to the farm store the property is pristine. His products are worth every penny because what you get is real. A real farm, providing a real product.

We've started coming to this area regularly, and Walnut Hollow is the first place we contact to stay. Charlie is meticulous about keeping a clean and orderly place, and puts guest comfort as a top priority. In fact, Charlie makes the whole place everything that it is--he is what infuses it with personality and charm. Without his humor and relaxed nature, we would not keep coming back. Both rooms and beds are super comfortable. Staying on the property is quiet and serene. There is a quaint relaxing pond with chairs by it to take in nature. No tv reception, but we don't want that anyway. Very helpful that guests can use the kitchen and there is fridge space. We've had a farm tour, and that is worthwhile too. You learn a lot of helpful info about meat and (some of) what it takes to run a ranch like this.

Walnut Hollow Ranch is a wonderful rural retreat in Hayesville, between Franklin and Murphy. It's conveniently located close to downtown Hayesville, John C. Campbell Folk School, High Mountain Meadows Farm and Creamery (with the best goat cheese around), Cranes Creek Vineyard, and Fires Creek for great fly fishing. The ranch offers serene and picturesque views amidst the rolling hills, blooming trees, and open fields where Angus cattle graze. Charlie Kissling, the ranch owner, runs a pristine humane cattle ranch where he sells some of the freshest and finest organic cuts of meat in the area, as well as local foods and artisan goods from the community. If you'd like a great education on ranching and artificial cattle breeding, or just want to mix and mingle at one of the annual bar-b-ques and stock up on the best meats in town, then you must book a tour or stay at the ranch. The ranch offers all of your accommodation needs, ranging from fully equipped RV storage, campIng areas, and two lovely and spacious lodging rooms with complete amenities and a full kitchen comparable to any hotel in the area. If Hayesville is calling you to experience the multiple outdoor activities it offers, the growing agricultural community, the local arts and music scene, or weekly farmer's markets, then Walnut Hollow Ranch is the only place in town to really enjoy your stay.

The main reason I have decided to buy my beef from Walnut Hollow, in Hayesville. Charlie Kissling raises his cows sustainability, with care, and it is by far the best beef I have ever had!

We spent New Year’s weekend here. The ranch is beautiful and centrally located to many attractions, such as Bell Mountain and Lake Chatuge. The room was very nice and spacious enough for three adults and two small dogs. It was nice to have the shared kitchen space. Charlie was super helpful and friendly. We bought some amazing steaks from him and grilled on New Year’s Eve. He had several excellent recommendations of what to do in the area. We will definitely be back. This is a great place for a weekend getaway in a peaceful area.

We stayed in the loft for 5 nights, and had a farm tour while we were there. Charlie wanted to make sure everything was good for us. He's so genuine, really puts together a nice room to stay, the property is super clean and idyllic. The farm tour is really informative and helps put in perspective what's important about buying and eating meat. The place is great, but what made it awesome was the upstanding person that Charlie is. We stayed at Walnut Hollow over the Eclipse weekend. Although we didn't take advantage of the tours and other amenities we had a great time. Charlie was an excellent host and his ranch is pretty awesome. Definitely buy some meat while you are there, it was delicious!

I was extremely fortunate to be with my daughter's family to view the 2017 total eclipse at Walnut Hollow Ranch. Though it was my first real camping experience, our tent location at the edge of a pond gave us a perfect view. The ranch had a "swimming hole" for the kids, a farm tour and plenty of room on the rolling terrain for tents...probably close to 100 tents and RV's. Charlie, the owner, greeted everyone and made us feel right at home. They served a wonderful barbecue lunch for everyone before the eclipse. I can't imagine being at a better place to view it. I'd like to come back as a farm stay, take the farm tour and taste the delicious grass fed Angus beef. Thanks, Charlie!

Had the opportunity recently to have lunch and go on a farm tour of this Angus Beef ranch. The location is stunningly beautiful, the beef was delicious, and the owner Charlie was a wealth of information. He took time to explain a lot about the process of raising the cattle and how his farm has adopted dozens of conservation techniques and earned animal welfare approval. It was fun and educational - bet its a great place to stay as well.

One of the most wonderful and unique things my husband and I have enjoyed was the Farm Tour at Walnut Hollow followed by the most enjoyable dinner. Charlie is very kind and informative and has the cleanest and most scenic farm ever! After the tour, several other local businesses joined us with wine, goat cheese and other local foods. Charlie put steaks on the grill. It was such a delicious meal, but the overall experience was just phenomenal. We can't wait to bring some of friends for this special experience!

Not only is Walnut Hollow Ranch a great family vacation spot to reach out and experience the Right and Natural way a cattle farm should operate, its country air and southern hospitality is admirable. My family and I are thrilled that we can take a piece of all this home with us by ordering this pristine beef online!! Thank you Walnut Hollow Ranch for caring.

Didn't know much about ranching & different types of cows. This tour was very informative. Beautiful clean facilities too. Also attended an evening with food & music! Quite relaxing & enjoyable! The meat from this ranch can't be beat. Served our house guests filets I purchased & every time we are together they mention that it was the best filets they have ever eaten!! Well worth a visit if you are on the Hayesville area of NC!

Stayed one night in our RV, beautiful property within an hour of waterfalls. From the store the brats and hamburger patties we bought were delicious wish I would have bought more to take home. Staff was very friendly and accommodating . Any time passing through North Carolina I would definitely stay here again and be sure to stock up on the meat.

After a long day of hiking we stopped by to see the farm and check out their meat products for sale. They were about to close up a little early, but were nice of enough to reopen for us. Bought 3 brats, a ribeye and a T-bone steak from Charlie and went home and grilled them the next day. They were fantastic. Nice people. Would come back to do the tour and have lunch there.

We love to talk "beef". Feel free to call or e-mail with any questions or concerns.
