We enjoyed our stay very much. It was very peaceful and welcoming. The hosts Kevin and Jerry were very nice and friendly. We will definitely consider staying again if our travels bring us your way again. It was our first harvest host experience and won't be our last for sure. Thank you.

Beautiful scenery, very quiet, great steaks as it is a working cattle ranch. Owner and Hosts very friendly and helpful. Hayesville is a lovely town very friendly people, couple nice restaurants and taverns. We will be back😊

Our host Charlie, as well as all of the staff (Jerry and wife) were very hospitable and knowledgeable about the ranch. It was a very family-like atmosphere. They went out of their way to accommodate us with our 30P Fleetwood Flair with a full hookup. The ranch was full and still more campers came. Charlie was great and found spots to help everyone out. Charlie even offered to take us half-way to meet an enterprise vehicle rental representative to have the use of a vehicle enabling us to see the sights. We opted to pick one up on the way but felt that was very nice of him to offer. The ranch was beautiful, nestled in the mountains. We were able to walk around the ranch, had a wonderful shower and did our laundry. There were lots of things to do in the area.

Thank you so much for hosting us. This location is so peaceful and well maintained. Spaces are large and even though we arrived late, it was easy to park. Water and electric is provided for a small fee, but very nice option, as well as extended stay option. Beautiful shaded trails, pond for fishing and a store stocked with prime cut steak, ground beef, and other items. We will definitely be back to enjoy this awesome property. Thank you, until next time.

This place was idyllic! Beautiful Mountain Views, the gentle (and sometimes not so gentle) lowing from the cattle heard in the distance, and night sky so clear you can see the Milky Way! Our kids had a spectacular time and Mr Charlie (owner) was a wonderful host! If you stay here, make sure to have some of the steaks! Melt in your mouth, flavor so great, and just about the best steak I’ve ever had! We will be back most definitely!

It was Sunday evening, and I needed a place to park for the night. The owner Charlie answered when I called, and he treated me as if I was returning for a months stay. Would I recommend this little hidden gem. You betcha!!! The camp staff was awesome and the hamburger I had tonight from the farm,,, well let's just say I ate very well. Thanks Walnut Hollow Ranch, for the hospitality and great beef. I hope to return soon.

We stayed here in July 2019 for 3 nights and it was one of the nicest places we ever stayed with our 5th wheel. Picturesque setting, quiet and just a few sites. It is a livestock ranch with cattle, horses and a donkey. We saw deers and a ton of rabbits. Beautiful landscape and the nicest and cleanest farm which we ever saw. The store offers very good quality meat and even dog food, which we bought for our dog. There are two full hook up sites and I think three more with electricity and water. Lots of space to walk your dog and very quiet during nights. Thank you Charlie for letting us stay at your beautiful ranch! And Emma love your bones, thank you!

This place is beautiful! If nothing else, I’d stay here for that! But with full hookup on a pad, access to shower, bathroom, and laundry if needed, firewood available for purchase to use in their nice rings, and a handful of other amenities, this place is it’s own little slice of heaven! 20-30 minute drive from town (depending on what you might need) and not too far from a slew of other great attractions. We truly loved camping here and hope to be back. The folks here are friendly and easy going.

A friend of ours found Charlie's ranch on Harvest Host. We were pleasantly surprised to have such a beautiful view when we arrived! Beautifully landscaped with the mountains all around and the spot gave privacy to us as well as our friends we travel with. Charlie was so gracious and opened his store for us to purchase steaks. They had a huge selection of fresh beef. We grilled those steaks and WOW! The previous reviews did not deceive! Those steaks are the best I have ever eaten! We had the bone in and they were amazing! The second night we grilled the regular ribeyes which were equally delicious. We also bought some fresh country sausages and it was great as well. Charlie, thanks again for being such a gracious host and checking on us while we were there. I will be ordering steak again soon!

Have stayed here multiple times and you just can't find anything better! Between the wonderful host, beautiful, quiet and very scenic farm and the quality of beef sold at the store you'd be hard pressed to find any better.

Charlie you have a very beautiful Ranch and we enjoyed the peacefulness and the beauty of your place. It was very relaxing and that was what we were looking for. Thank you for sharing your place with us.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay and your hospitality. Hike was great. Fire was awesome until the rain. Retreated into the RV and had a fantastic meal with your steaks as the headliners!! Thank you again. We will absolutely provide a review on harvest hosts. Not sure we belong to any other rv sites yet. Thanks again!! Much appreciated and we hope to stay at your place again in the future.

We had a WONDERFUL restful weekend here at Walnut Hollow; plus had the best New York Strip steak we've ever had! Very peaceful, quiet area, and loved our morning walks enjoying nature. We fished, hung out in a hammock, enjoyed our firepit and just had a wonderful time walking around visiting all the animals. Definitely a great spot to recharge. We recently had the extreme pleasure to camp with Walnut Hollow Ranch for 10 blissful days while we attended workshop classes at nearby JC Campbell College. Camping with Charlie is like camping with family. Everything about the campground, the barns, and the ranch itself is pristine , including the planted flowers and plush grass. We camped in a 42' MotorCoach with 4 slides. Charlie parked us on white level concrete with full hookups and a glorious ranch view out our front big windshield. It was captivating to watch the activities of the ranch and the cattle themselves. We purchased some of the Angus grass fed beef and it was superb to the taste. If we are camping again within 50 miles of Walnut Hollow. I will go out of my way that much just camp with Charlie and Walnut Hollow Ranch.

A peaceful and restful environment to spend a few days. We parked our Motor Home where we had a lovely view of the pastures. Purchased a Rib Eye Steak from Charlie and it was honestly one of the best steaks ever!

WHAT a beautiful place and nice owner. We camped here for a week in our motor home. 30 amp electro and water at the site, laundry machine and dryer cost extra but good. Lots to do around here in the outdoors but hanging out here is beautiful.

What a great spot. Planned to stay two days and we extended to a week. Great location. You look out over farm land and cattle. Charlie is the perfect host. We got a tour of the ranch and schooled on specialized beef cattle. What a treat! Lots of things to see in the area. We took many day trips. Take Charlie’s recommendations on what to see. Don’t miss the winery and their Friday dinners. John c Campbell folk school is nearby. It’s open for visitors to drop in on classes. It’s very welcoming and reminds me of a summer camp for adults. Check their evening schedule. They have community music entertainment and contra dancing. They will teach you how. It was a fantastic time. We will be back.

Stayed one night in our RV, beautiful property within an hour of waterfalls. From the store the brats and hamburger patties we bought were delicious wish I would have bought more to take home. Staff was very friendly and accommodating . Any time passing through North Carolina I would definitely stay here again and be sure to stock up on the meat.

Stopped by for an overnight visit in May on our way to NOLA. Met an old friend I hadn’t seen in over 20 yrs! Spent a relaxing time under the willow tree learning the history of the farm. Very nice place. The folks in the store we’re knowledgeable and friendly. We purchased a huge flank steak to.bring to our friends in Atlanta. They said it was the absolutely the best they have ever eaten! Beautiful location!
