  • Ride up to the rim of the Fires Creek Area of the Nantahala National Forest, encompassing the bear sanctuary, with outstanding views
  • Trail heads at Bristol Horse Camp primitive field
  • Several rides to choose from the 25 mile rim
  • Trail are moderate to challenging: some narrow extreme trails with rocks, the rim trail is a dirt trail and well worn
  • Great spots for lunch and photos

  • Health certificate suggested (Your horse needs to be in good physical condition for the higher elevations.)
