July 2017. What a great spot. Planned to stay two days and we extended to a week. Great location. You look out over farm land and cattle. Charlie is the perfect host. We got a tour of the ranch and schooled on specialized beef cattle. What a treat! Lots of things to see in the area. We took many day trips. Take Charlie’s recommendations on what to see. Don’t miss the winery and their Friday dinners. John c Campbell folk school is nearby. It’s open for visitors to drop in on classes. It’s very welcoming and reminds me of a summer camp for adults. Check their evening schedule. They have community music entertainment and contra dancing. They will teach you how. It was a fantastic time. We will be back.

Stayed one night in our RV, beautiful property within an hour of waterfalls. From the store the brats and hamburger patties we bought were delicious wish I would have bought more to take home. Staff was very friendly and accommodating . Any time passing through North Carolina I would definitely stay here again and be sure to stock up on the meat.

Excellent location, well maintained, friendly staffed working farm. I look forward to returning later this year with grandchildren.

Stopped by for an overnight visit in May on our way to NOLA. Met an old friend I hadn’t seen in over 20 yrs! Spent a relaxing time under the willow tree learning the history of the farm. Very nice place. The folks in the store we’re knowledgeable and friendly. We purchased a huge flank steak to.bring to our friends in Atlanta. They said it was the absolutely the best they have ever eaten! Beautiful location!
